The Plot Thickens

A New Sentry
As Editor-in-Chief of The Sentry for the 2020-21 Academic Year, I’ve decided to turn The Sentry into an exclusive Christopher Nolan fan club. But, Do. Not. Worry. The Sentry will remain a weekly publication, however all the sections will be, from here on out, solely film related if not borderline movie reviews only. Being my first column as Editor-in-Chief, I have laid out how The Sentry will be operating from here on out. First, I just wanted to start off saying that I just love film. I love film so much, that I’ve decided that my office hours will now be appointment-only sessions where anyone in and outside of The Sentry staff can come talk to me about anything related to film, nothing else, I’m sorry. However, because we will have so much to discuss, you will have to at least clear out three hours’ worth of your schedule so that we sufficiently cover every minute detail related to said film or topic related to film, again, nothing else. The new sections of the paper will include: Leisure, Leisure, Leisure, Leisure, and ETC. Our workshops will consist of movie parties and the most important issue of the year will be around Oscar season where our staff will conduct polls of their Oscar winner projections. Content of the paper will be making a digital shift as our staff will be using the entire academic year to create a short film that we will watch at the end of Spring semester and vote at our annual Sentry awards. The screening process to join The Sentry will change as well as applying will now require a list of your top 10 films and an accompanying essay explaining why you ranked the top three films as they are. I will judge you on this. Anyway, I am very excited for the new year and a new year being your Editor-in-Chief. I leave you all with this quote from one of my all-time favorite films, The Dark Knight directed by our lord and savior Christopher Nolan:
