Schoolboy Q’s hiatus is over, as he released his new single “Numb Numb Juice.” The song offers a refreshing start to Q’s career after a long hiatus and the inconsistency of his releases. Owning a runtime of a little under two minutes, Q wastes no time getting to the lyrics, spitting, “Two door coupe, hoppin’ out like Jack-in-the-Box nigga / I’m gon’ shoot if this thirty’s all that I got nigga / Time’s up,” before a menacing, dramatic beat drops. Q throws out some versatile rhymes and bars, referencing E-40 and his group, the Click’s “num num juice” track from the early 00s. “Numb Numb Juice” is a warning to fellow rap artists, as Q showcases why he remains one of the top-tier rappers in the business.
