Following the momentum built in their 2016 collaboration Finesse, Cardi B and Bruno Mars create a soothing and sensational hit with “Please Me (Feat. Cardi B).” Cardi B’s lyricism intertwined with Bruno Mars’ vocal range carry the entirety of the song, having equal balance between rap and falsetto. The melody is steady, not too fast nor too slow; rather, it is calming because the song emits an R&B vibe, promoting a sexual ode of one person seeking another for pleasure that consists of stable percussion and low bass tempo. “Please Me” not only showcases the duo’s musical talents but also demonstrates the progression that they have made since their first collaboration. It’s a good song that is well worth the listen.
