Dua Lipa just released her new single “Swan Song,” featured in the upcoming movie Alita: Battle Angel. “Swan Song” is a confident fight song, driven by synths building up to a powerful chorus. In the beginning of the track, Lipa opens up by singing, “I, I can’t lie. I’m scared to open my eyes / ‘Cause what if I find nothing at all,” which shows her vulnerability. But as the song hits the chorus, Lipa sings, “This is not a, this is not a swan, swan song / We just gotta, we just gotta hold on tonight, It’s a new life,” showing that she needs to be strong and fight for what she believes in. This song deserves a listen.
