“If We Have Each Other” by Alec Benjamin is a mid-tempo song which includes a rhythmic guitar, drums, and a keyboard. Along with the background music, the 24-year-old’s unique boyish voice adds an interesting aspect to the song. Not only does his voice help set the mood, but his poetic lyrics also help to entrance the listener. In the chorus, he sings, “The world’s not perfect, but it’s not that bad / If we got each other, and that’s all we have.” Alec Benjamin is an extraordinary artist who pours every emotion into his storytelling songs, and “If We Have Each Other” is yet another story about the difference people make in one’s life.
