Public Memory | Red Rainbow | Single Review

Felte Records

Public Memory recently released an atmospheric single called “Red Rainbow.” There are frequent cymbals accompanied by occasional snare drum hits that switch off to a bass drum later on. For the first half of the track, the synth takes on a repetitive arpeggio before turning into long tones that are reminiscent of howling. At the one-minute mark, a feminine and airy voice enters the track as an accompaniment to the synth. The vocalist’s words cannot be easily deciphered and thus demand focus from the listener. This piece is good background music but not one for sitting down and listening to.
