Kurt Vile | Loading Zones | Single Review

Matador Records
Kurt Vile’s new single “Loading Zones” is one of folksy, punk vibes that gives a sense of nostalgia to the listener. It kind of gives off a sense of adventure, especially the lyrics, “One stop shop life for the quick fix / Before you get a ticket / That’s the way I live my life / I park for free.” But while the lyrics say one thing that craves nostalgia, the music and beat itself seem somewhat generic, something someone has heard perhaps from a Bob Dylan record. The laid-back attitude and lo-fi production of the song makes it the perfect tune to enjoy with a PBR.
