Greta Van Fleet’s new single “When the Curtain Falls” earned a standing ovation on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The song opens with a crisp riff from Jake Kiszka on lead guitar, though what truly stands out are his brother Josh’s piercing vocals. Front man, Josh Kiszka, has often been compared to that of Led Zepplin’s Robert Plant. Though the band’s sound is classic, there’s something youthful about the energy with which they deliver this new song about fame’s trappings. The refrain “When the curtain falls / Walk the hallow halls,” mirrors the echoing vocals, reminding listeners of show business’ potential emptiness.
