The new powerfully robust anthem by That One Band brought new meaning to music this year. Their breakout single, “That Song You Heard At The Bar,” starts off slow with either drum or guitar chords that sound something like—da da da, bum bum bum bummmmm. Then the chorus, sung by a generic female voice, bounds in with powerful “da nanananana ba baaaa,” that gets stuck in listeners’ heads for weeks on end, without any actual distinguishable qualities. This song has become an anthem for drinking-aged students across the US, with vaguely recognizable melodies and equally forgettable lyrics.

April Fools!
