Justin Timberlake | Filthy | Single Review

Record label: Warner Brothers Records
Justin Timberlake recently released his single “Filthy.” The classic early 2000s music icon is gone and has been replaced by an unoriginal, copycat singer. The track begins with an electric guitar hook that sounds promising but then deteriorates into screeching electronic noises that sound like a broken fax machine. The lyrics are nearly indecipherable, giving listeners the profoundly rare feeling of not being able to sing along to a pop song. Timberlake’s previous album signaled the end of his musical career, and if his next album is anything like “Filthy,” it will be sure to sound like a generic, money-grabbing pop album.
