It is our busiest time of the year at SGA! We are working on a variety of initiatives for the betterment of our campus that we are excited to share with you.

Grade Forgiveness: Student Government has been exploring grade forgiveness for many years now. We hope to develop a plan in the next year to allow for students to retake classes and help improve their GPA. The Faculty Assembly members are discussing the feasibility of this initiative among the colleges. We are dedicated to ensuring that this policy is fair and assists with the retention of students.

Greek Life: With the hire of Amanda French, the graduate assistant for Greek Life, and the help of the Greek Life Committee, this SGA-led initiative is becoming more concrete every day. We hope to see it in full swing within the upcoming school year. Currently, a manual is being created to outline the guidelines and regulations of Greek Life to ensure that it will be operated in the students’ best interest. Come to our Greek Life committee meetings every Friday at 2:45!

Student Outreach: We are dedicated to listening to all student concerns; in order to do so, we have a Student Outreach Week every semester. We offer golf cart rides to class, free food in our office, and our College Council Reps table in every building. Keep an eye out for our Student Outreach Week next semester!

Although we are working on numerous initiatives at SGA, most importantly we want students to be aware of the resources available on campus. The Food Pantry is a great resource for students in need. It is located in Tivoli #127 and in Student Commons #2011 (Center for Identity and Inclusion).

As always, all students are welcome to visit us in Tivoli #301. We have comfy chairs, good company, a microwave, and more! Our Senate meetings are every Friday at 12:30 p.m. in Tivoli #640 and they are open to the public. Additionally, we host regular spirit events; follow our social media @CUDenverSGA to find out about events and win free spirit gear.
