Modern Woman | Tennis: Single Review

“Modern Woman” is off of Colorado band Tennis’ fourth album, Your’s Conditionally. Tennis is composed of duo Alaina Moore and her husband Patrick Riley. The couple, who met at CU Denver, got together to create visually appealing videos that must be watched from beginning to end.
In the video for “Modern Woman,” Moore sings to herself in a paralyzing way. There are different scenes in which she’s completely still and staring at herself in the mirror continuously. The scenes transition from a bedroom, bathroom, dining room to even some questionable places that could resemble pitch black rooms.
Moore, who’s also a photographer, knows what’s visually appealing and adds her own visual touch. The video creates a dizzying effect with the usage of red, which becomes most notable and prominent part of the video,
Artists nowadays seem to stuff and cram several ideas into a three-minute interval, but Tennis focuses on the simplest things and expands on it.
