Tom’s Urban has the happiest hour within walking distance of campus. The atmosphere is bodacious, and jam packed with nearby CU Denver students looking for good deals every day.

This is the best happy hour because starting at 3 p.m., drinks are $3. The happy hour menu includes a wide variety of buzz-worthy drinks. The Long Island iced tea, Moscow Mule, and Tom’s Lemonade are collectively the favorite drinks off of the drink list. Compared to many happy hour drinks, the liquor pour is heavy, and a productive buzz is achieved post two Long Islands. At 4 p.m., drinks go up to $3.50, and at 5 p.m. they increase to $4. This provides enough time for most students to take a walk to Tom’s and order their drinks post-class.

Included in the happy hour is a long list of food specials. The restaurant has a selection of great street tacos, including adobo chicken and fish tacos. Tom’s makes delicious edamame and pot stickers as well. The price of food moves parallel to the drinks menu, increasing incrementally from 3-6 p.m. There are several food and drink combinations that can be made for a cheap price that make it worth the quick trip.

Tom’s Urban is a funky, fast-paced restaurant that serves the masses in Denver every day. Between the price of drinks and food, being surrounded by friends, dancing to music, and receiving quality service, Tom’s is the best by far for CU Denver students.
