Best Place to Read on Campus

THE SCIENCE BUILDING READS EASY

The Science Building is like any other building on campus, large and heavily air-conditioned. The building has work space for students to do homework, hang out, eat lunch, and complain about the lab courses they’re taking.

However, the Science Building holds a hidden gem, typically overlooked by students. This allows for students to partake in an activity that is unfortunately dying out now with social media, smartphones, and the endless amounts of homework: reading for pleasure.

The rocking chairs in the lobby of the building are pleasant in more ways than one. Before discovering this location, it was hard to find a comfortable place to read a book.

With a typical student’s schedule, it can be difficult to set aside the time to relax and enjoy doing activities that we all once did. Reading is such a great leisure activity because books offer adventure, emotion, and escape that other activities sometimes can’t.

The rocking chairs are, admittedly, not the most comfortable, but still quite relaxing. The chairs have the ability to rock one to sleep, help soothe stressed out folks, and relax the mind and body.

Reading while rocking away in those rocking chairs is quick getaway from homework, or just a way to unwind after a long day. So, if you find yourself in the last couple weeks of school in need of some downtime, the Science Building is the place to be.
