“Hurt” – Johnny Cash
Johnny Cash’s cover of NIN’s “Hurt” is the best damn cover ever. The pain and regret just drips from this song in a way that even Trent Reznor went on record to proclaim its awesomeness. And for Cash, the Man in Black at the end of a long life of greatness and sadness both, it was the perfect exit.
